Back in the day, I found the natural world as my haven. As a child when things felt sad or overwhelming, I would go to the fields or orchards near my house and find my center. But as I aged, some of my concerns about life travelled with me. This led to sometimes feeling lost and confused and not comfortable in my skin.
A long-time explorer of all things metaphysical and philosophical, it made sense that I found Breathwork- or that Breathwork found me. It was like the whole world opened up to me in that first session and I discovered I was more than I ever thought I could be.
I don’t take this practice lightly- and consider this application of Breathwork as a therapeutic process of integration. But there are many ways to experience the practice. And while we all may have different entry points, our end goals are often the same.
We all want to feel our sense of belonging…to grieve the things we’ve lost…to feel more empowered and energized in our body…to be less wrought with indecision and self-doubt.
