Attunement with the Seasons of Change

The fading light and cooler nights offer a reminder that the Autumn Equinox has just passed (Monday, September 22nd).

Between now and December 21st, we will have progressively shorter and shorter days in the Northern Hemisphere.

Until, once again, the light will begin to increase. Autumn Equinox is a time of BALANCE as we experience equal parts daylight and nighttime for the first few days.

These external rhythms of nature help remind us to PAUSE.

"When the world is hurried, we are hurried also". Therefore, we must take deliberate attempts to calm ourselves and find a safe haven from the stormy seas of "over-doing it".

This is especially true in times of change like seasonal shifts.

Change can be over-stimulating, feel chaotic and the undercurrents of fear can make us feel topsy turvy- in a time already of tumult.

ATTUNEMENT includes our need for pause, rest, recalibration and reflection.

Breathwork offers a somatic experience of going within- as you close your eyes and attune to your own bodies rhythms- the additional pulls on your attention fade away and we gift ourselves a "re-centering" into our world.

Gifting ourselves the fuel, perspective and delight in enjoying this precious life.

Nature offers us this same balm of attunement also and I love combining the elements of nature with our breathing sessions because in many ways we are these natural beings growing besides us- and are made of many of the same molecules through AIR, FIRE, EARTH & WATER.

This sacred recalibration through Breathwork is not something in the future or the past. When we breathe together we align with this moment- we come into our own inherent aliveness and remember- "life isn't a race and we all get to the finish line".

I hope these resources and offerings bring you into the "balance-point" of your own REMEMBERING. Your breath is right here for you.

I hope to see you again soon!

"It only takes a reminder to breathe, a moment to be still, and just like that, something in me settles, softens, makes space for imperfection.

The harsh voice of judgment drops to a whisper and I remember again that life isn’t a relay race; that we will all cross the finish line; that waking up to life is what we were born for.

As many times as I forget, catch myself charging forward without even knowing where I’m going,

that many times I can make the choice to stop, to breathe, and be, and walk slowly into the mystery." -Walk Slowly, Dana Faulds
